Originally the Tack Room to the Stable Courtyard and now offered as a 2-bedroomed self catering cottage for up to 4 people.
Arriving at the sandstone viaduct of the private Cairnsmore Estate offers an immediate "get away from it all" feeling.
As soon as you drive through the gates, along the avenue bordered by rhododendron and broad-leaf trees, the surroundings evoke a by-gone time. A clear burn runs alongside and ahead the hills and forests emerge as you approach your destination, Cairnsmore Stable Courtyard.
There is wonderful walking in the surrounding area (highlighted in the Newton Stewart Walkfest) and the footpath to the summit of Cairnsmore of Fleet (2,300 feet) is a short walk from the cottages. The area offers varied interests, both for the outdoor & wildlife enthusiasts and those who enjoy exploring the surrounding market towns and coastal villages.
